Easy Cast Iron Turkey Burgers
These simple turkey burgers are made not on a grill, but a well seasoned cast iron skillet. They are juicy, simple and packed with flavor.
If you’re looking to satisfy a burger craving, this is a great lean and protein packed option for you.
Get Your Ingredients Ready
You will need only a few easy ingredients for this burger patty recipe. Minimal chopping and simple spices.
1 lb Ground Turkey
1 tablespoon Worcetershire Sauce
Your preference of Salt, Pepper, and No Salt Seasoning
1 Egg
1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
2 grated garlic cloves
1/4 cup finely chopped parsley
Avocado oil for spraying your pan before cooking
Let’s Get Cooking
Start by combining all your ingredients in a medium mixing bowl. Use gloved hands to mix and form 5-6 patties.
Once your patties are formed, set aside and start heating up your cast iron. Lightly spray Avocado Oil before setting in 2 patties at a time. Do NOT overcrowd your pan.
Once your pan is hot, cook your patties for 4-5 minutes per side. I use a meat thermometer to check the doneness of the turkey burgers. Your thermometer should ready 165 degrees Fahrenheit once cooked throroughtly.
You can add a slice of your favorite cheese to the patty once it has 30 seconds left on its last side.
Serve up with whatever toppings you like!
Get Creative With Your Toppings!
If you like your toppings as much as I do, get creative with it!
I use the usual suspects, mayo, mustard, lettuce and onion. But you can also use guacamole, sliced jalapeños or even some Swiss chard!
I love having multiple layers of texture on my burger. It’s just so fun to layer on whatever your heart desires!
How To Store Leftover Patties
These patties will last about 2-3 days in the fridge in an airtight container.
I recommend allowing your turkey burgers to cool to room temperature before putting in a ziplock bag or airtight snap wear container.
You can reheat by putting in the microwave for 30-45 seconds, no more than that or you run the risk of drying out your patty!
